Midwestern Water Reclamation Plant Case Study
A midwestern-US water reclamation plant serving 1.1 million customers converts two of five batteries to an anoxic/anaerobic/oxic configuration in a large-scale evaluation for testing enhanced biological phosphorus removal using EOSi’s MicroC® 2000 carbon sources.
This 354 MGD facility has a service area of 300 square miles serving a population of 1.1 million people in a Midwest city.
Prior to investigating carbon addition full scale, the facility’s maintenance, operations, engineering and research teams completed a number of preliminary tests beginning in 2012.
