Poultry Processing and Rendering Plant

EOSi’s Nitrack® control program enables a Chesapeake Bay-area poultry plant to achieve consistent effluent quality, meet regulatory discharge limits on nitrogen and phosphorus loadings, and minimize operator oversight of BNR processes with highly variable wastewater flows and loadings.

This poultry plant slaughters, processes and packages up to 200,000 chickens per day. The plant renders offal, blood and fats from on-site operations and other poultry processing facilities. Wastewater from the poultry plant is treated on-site and must meet strict standards for biological nutrient removal (BNR) to protect the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.
